The Aiming Circle takes its name from a device used by field artillery soldiers to ensure accurate and effective fires. Generated by the award-winning writer behind the Red Bull Rising blog, "Reporting for Duty," and "Welcome to FOB Haiku: War Poetry from Inside the Wire," the Aiming Circle will primarily be funded and resourced through a Patreon page .
